Check the four lights along the top
The ODU light refers to the outdoor antenna installed on your roof. Before calling us, note whether each light is solid, flashing or off, and what colour it is.
An orange Signal light is perfectly fine.
It means you have a medium-strength signal—not that there is a fault.
POWER
Is the box receiving power?
No power. Check that the power cable is connected and the power point is switched on.
The box is running from a backup battery, if one is installed, and the battery power is low.
Normal. The connection box has power.

STATUS
Is the connection box operating normally?
The box has no power or is in an unexpected state. Check the Power light first.
A system fault has been detected. Call Highway so we can investigate and lodge a fault with nbn if required.
The connection box is starting up. Give it a few minutes to finish.
The connection box is in test mode.
Normal. The connection box is operating correctly.
ODU — OUTDOOR UNIT
Is the rooftop antenna connected?
The outdoor unit has no power or is in an unexpected state.
The outdoor unit is offline. Call Highway if it remains red after restarting the equipment.
An error has been detected. Call Highway so we can investigate.
Normal. The outdoor antenna is online. This light may flash while data is being transferred.
SIGNAL
How strong is the wireless signal?
The connection box is offline.
The service may still work, but the wireless signal is weak. Contact us if you’re also experiencing dropouts or connection problems.
This is fine. Your connection has a medium-strength signal.
This is fine. Your connection has a strong signal.
STILL NOT WORKING?
Restart both boxes before you call
Turn off your Wi-Fi modem and the nbn Fixed Wireless connection box at the power point. Leave them off for about 10 minutes, then turn them both back on. Allow a few minutes for the lights to settle.
